Cinema Safety Measures

Here at Merlin Cinemas we are doing everything we can to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit in-line with government guidelines.
The below measures will be in place in all of our cinemas for the safety and well-being of you and our team.
Please note the Bar & Restaurants will not be able to deal with refunds at this time.
The Cinema Support Office will open part-time from the 17th August and start to process these.

Watching a Film
Cinema patrons must wear face coverings at all times except when eating or drinking in the auditorium.

Each group will be automatically physically distanced by at least 1m from others within the auditorium.
We’re staggering the show start times to reduce queues. While queuing and moving around the building, please try and keep at least 1m away from the person in front of you.
Please be in your auditorium in good time, the doors will open 20 minutes before your scheduled start time. Please have your booking confirmation/tickets ready for visual inspection.

Booking and Payments
Advance Booking is strongly advised. Some food and drink items may not be available. Please try to pay by card or contactless where possible.

Enhanced Cleaning Throughout
We’ll have more frequent and more thorough cleaning routines throughout the cinema, with extra controls in all toilet facilities.
Sanitising Stations will be available on entry and at allocated points around the cinema.

Our Team
All cinema employees have been trained on the new safety and hygiene measures.
Personal Protective Equipment will be made available to staff - including face coverings, gloves and visors. As well as perspex screens at counters where possible.
We have strict guidelines for any of our colleagues who may begin to show early symptoms to stay away from the cinema. We would welcome all of our guests to do the same and stay home if they feel unwell. We will be assisting the NHS with Track and Trace where possible and customers have provided their details.

We have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19. See our confirmation statement here
